The long, hot weekend : 12th & 13th September
Join for XRUK's long hot weekend in London!
On Saturday and Sunday, 12 - 13 September, at a fantastic venue (tba) we will have two days of conversation, outreach, creative thinking and practical preparation for our Day of Action on Monday 14 September.
Why should I join?
You probably know about the National Emergency Briefing (NEB) but have you read the National Security Assessment (NSA)? Covering the security risks to the UK associated with biodiversity loss and ecosystem collapse, this severely abridged version of the document was published by the government, in January this year, only after a Freedom of Information request.
The NSA highlights serious threats to UK Security, including biodiversity loss, flooding, drought, food shortages, extreme heat, mass migration and all the other profound affects of climate change. These events are a danger to us all - We are all in the same soup and it's coming to the boil!
This September we mobilise: rebels, old and new, re-engage with our natural allies and reach out to the public at large to join us in our demands - that the government Tell the Truth by issuing and publicising the full, unredacted NSA and to Act Now to mitigate against the serious threats to UK security reported within. We must Decide Together how best to approach our first two demands.

What’s happening on Monday?
Together we have shouted from the rooftops with Love for the Earth, for Life itself. And we Rage against those who still deny the science and delay the change that’s so desperately needed. Rage! Yes and rightly so, because Government, the security services, the media all know that climate breakdown is happening - yet where is their plan? A plan to secure a liveable future for the British people? The full National Security Assessment has been hidden - redacted. So, to build the world we want and need, to build a path for our children’s survival, it’s clear society must have a common understanding of the facts. And, we are going to insist upon it.
There will be noise. There will be love and it will be for EVERYONE.
Because we’re all in the same soup and it’s coming to the boil.
