International Wave of Action

8th-22nd September – a coordinated wave of actions will sweep around the globe, targeting insurers enabling fossil fuels and war.

Across Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia, we’re twinning groups from the Global North and the Global South to build solidarity and amplify frontline voices.

London Actions Dates: 8th & 9th September

We will start the wave of actions off in London with a mass participation action.

📍LOCATION (both days): 20 Gracechurch Street, London, EC3V 0BG

⏰ START TIME (both days): Join us from 08:00 onwards for a full day of action. If you’re closer by, please get there as early as you can - but if you’re from further away, we’ll be going throughout the day.

Worldwide pressure on two global insurers:

AXA

They are a key insurer of the Israeli war machine committing war crimes right now, as well as many of the worst carbon bomb projects. They are enabling both genocide and ecocide. AXA has already dropped its support of many Israeli banks and Elbit Systems due to activist pressure: we know we can move them. AXA are also the no. 1 provider of retail insurance in Europe and a big player in the US.

AIG

Although only 1/10th the size of AXA, they are almost as heavily involved in fossil fuels and arms. AIG are still in the frame for insuring EACOP (East African Crude Oil Pipeline).
