What is the Access Buddy Role?

The Access Buddy role is often performed by Stewards and Wellbeing crews. We want to make our events as inclusive as possible and not all accessibility issues are obvious. We demonstrate an awareness that rebels may find certain situations uncomfortable (noise, crowds, distances to cover, sight, hearing, etc.). We know the location of accessible routes between locations, toilets and other services. We can offer to guide someone from a transport hub, or push a wheelchair for example.

Typically needed when expecting varied mobility attendees, large public events, or requested in advance.
