Polis: Movement Assemblies
Have Your Say On:
'Which Topic The Movement Needs To Discuss First'
- The above topic aims to create agreement on which movement assembly issues are of greatest concern to the movement right now.
- The results from the Polis poll will inform the movement on what are perceived to be the most important considerations for deliberation.
- You can view and vote on a range of questions and to add your own considered questions for other rebels to vote on.
- Once the poll has ended, the most popular will then become the first Movement Assembly. During that assembly participants will deliberate to really hone in on what XR’s priorities need to be.
- Getting well-informed decision making has recently been our greatest challenge as a movement to date.
Steps
Week One - Participants
- Read the Guide: Polis for Participants, so you understand the process and make the most out of taking part in the assembly.
- You have one week to vote in Polis on questions already submitted. If you feel something has been missed, you can add your own questions for others to vote on. See Guide: How to Write a Great Question for Polis
- At the end of the week, Polis will be closed to submissions.
- Stop whenever you like. You do not have to respond to all questions.
Week One - Moderators
- Repeated statements or questions will be edited out by Moderators to minimise overwhelm and frustration of participants. See Moderation info
- Personally identifiable information such as email address, telephone numbers etc, will be deleted. If the number of participants is so small that demographic data can identify a participant, this will also be deleted.
Week Two - Participants
- Voting only. Everyone can vote on additional questions added by other participants
Week Three - Assembly Organisers
