What's the Point?

For everyone around the world to publically commit to water for life!

Enagagement is an emotional involvement or commitment. We're asking everyone to choose a water source and over the next seven months, nuture our relationships in the build up to a wedding or commitment ceremony on Sunday 22 March 2026.

You can do this as an individual, as a group of friends, or even as an entire XR local group. The aim is to inspire ourselves to become emotionally involved with our water source and find ways to protect, clean, honour, promote and care for water, as it sustains all life.

Share your commitment on social media and with friends and family. How are you going to build your relationship with your water source before the wedding in March 2026? How can you start to honour your commitment through action to protect and care for your chosen 'partner'?

This day of action has been planned to coincide with World Water Week 2025, which is focusing on 'Water for Climate Action'- addressing the linked emergencies of climate change, environment degradation and biodiversity loss.
